This harvesting tool is stackable, allowing for multi-stage filtration and the mesh is replaceable by removing the inner lock.
- 100 micron will extract adults from detritus
- 38 micron will extract juveniles and adults but capture some detritus
- 25 micron will extract nauplii and rotifers but capture lots of detritus and/or drain slowly
It is good practice to only harvest adults when it comes to copepods, leaving the nauplii and juveniles behind to keep reproduction ramped up to maximum where the adults reproductive begin to decline.
